I've looked on at the debate in Scotland and Nicholas Sturgeon's hardening tactics when it comes to gender issues. I think there are so many natural SNP voters, kind of high church, Scottish Presbyterians who will surely not support what Nicholas Sturgeon is doing. It just doesn't seem to make sense to me unless your goal is to be as incendiary as you possibly can. So I do think these are deeply cynical tactics over such a sensitive issue. And we're seeing Sakeer Starman now, aren't we? Striking a more sort of common, sensical, reasonable view. But yet he is saying that 16 is too young to change gender - risking wrath of Labour's hard
