If a patient has some sort of respiratory drive issue that is causing them to want to decrease their c o two, then it may be difficult or impossible to really fix that. You can just reduce the respiratory rate. But if your treaning one with a really bad panic disorder, they can still impressively breathe their ph up really high. Put a non re breather mask on their face, do not connect it to oxygen, they will re breathe, and it'll slow some things. If you see someone with hypocapnia and it's not explained, there are some things to think about like solicia, intoxication, thyrotoxicosis, serosis and sepsis. And n
