The T Stands for Probable Conclusions

The O stands for objectivity. This is where things like motivated reasoning and confirmation bias can overtake our ability to critically evaluate claims because we want to believe something or we don't want to believe it. The T stands for tentative conclusions, so this is a reminder to never put your certainty dial at 100%. We always leave ourselves open to changing our mind. And with evidence, is the evidence reliable? So does it come from a reliable source? Is that random YouTube video or is this JAMA? Is the evidence comprehensive? So not cherry pick. And extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
