I've never heard a horse make before, but sound entirely like a horse. A lot of that's just the horse breathing, you know, and it's keeping it alive over the course of the scene. Also I have to say the horse did a great job acting. It was easy to put in the labored breaths and sort of emotion that comes from the animalYou can't be too careful with animals on "The Walking Dead"
