The Roman Toilets, You Know?

The most advanced and sophisticated, kind of ancient toilets were these what are called roman luxury latrines. And that spongeic was used, rightin the sponge on a stick next to the seat, and the sponge was in a gutter at the base of the seat. A cesspit dug into the floor of a room would have a stone or wooden over-cushioned seat. It was basically like an outhouse except that it was a room inside the house.
