Looting of Art in the Second World War

The Hezon Art Fine Arts Museum once hosted one of the richest collections in all of Ukraine, but it's been emptied by Russian officials. The looting of art for economic benefit as well as a way of illustrating cultural dominance is also a way of seeking to erase a culture. It's still believed that there are hundreds, perhaps thousands of lost masterpieces from Europe hidden in the deposit trees of the Hermitage. They're in a sort of state of perpetual limbo because they were declared that they would almost certainly be restitutioned at considerable expense if discovered.
