Is Nassa Working on Refining the Spacesuits?

There's a competition to design the next space suit. Three american firms, collins aerospace, i l c, dover and ocean earing are working on a suit they call astro which will make abundant use of vectran. They say that astronauts wearing this would be able to put their hands over their heads and bend down - something astronauts in todays suits cannot do. On may 30 first are going to announce the winner, a company, or a group of companies, that will receive a fat contract to a desig and build actual suits.
