Are We Moving More Liberally?

In moving away from religion, i think that some parts of that direction have been positive. For instance, different types of people are able to live better in society than they could when we were morea strict in our adherence to religious beliefs. I also think that women have enjoyed a great amount of the expansion of their freedoms in society to day verse s when we had a more religious society. You keep pointing to the fact that directionally, we seem to be moving more liberal. And you're pointing out that even in most te majority areas, that seems to be the case. If that is the case, isn't that a stronger argument that humans have a tendency for more autonomy and freedom?
