Crisis in cosmology is a term given to the current state of astronomy. Astronomers are excited by new evidence, but they don't know why things are weird. They can't wait to figure out what's going on and get better measurements at different times. The big stuff we thought had been figured out was now an approachable problem that even observers like me can get in on.
