How Do You Write Football Tactics?

I hadn't realised how strongly I felt about the importance of tactics. Football tactics are the most obvious manifestation of how culture has an impact on football. To play in a certain way, they have to be certain stimuli to make you think in that way. A lot of the talk of national styles can be pretty blunt stereotypes and not necessarily particularly useful. In certain cases, as in Argentina in the 1920s, it's utterly self-conscious and therefore it is really important and interesting. If you're a coach, the way you look at football and the way you set about the winning of games is socially and culturally conditioned. All of that is dependent on your own cultural conditioning.
