The Problems of International Corruption Laws
Corruption is a problem that exists on multiple levels, and the multiple levels are linked. So when these are linked, then national laws are only ever going to be able to get you so far. There needs to be a regime in place that enables international acts of corruption to be prosecuted in what still are ostensibly national courts. And getting that right is not easy. Many states have embraced transparency initiatives. It's much harder to cover up things that pre-internet you would simply hope to get away with.
