The Impact of Partner Hands on the Caribbean

The Windrush generation arrived in the UK between 1948 and 1971. They faced horrific discrimination, including from our banks. Unable to open accounts, they relied on a traditional community saving system called a partner hand. Catherine Ross is the founder and director of Museum and National Caribbean Heritage Museum. It's just opened a new exhibition at the Bank of England Museum about partner hands.
