I think these privately issued stablecoins are pretty unstable, personally. I would not run around handing out a lot more banking licenses to things that are not banks. Once that genie's been out of the bottle, it's very hard to put it back in. Perhaps there are other or better protocols that can be developed given what we're currently experiencing.
