Chaolin was a king of the Anglo-Saxons. He and his brother Cuthwine had just won the Battle of Durham. They were in control of four villages, but it was all bad news for the Brits. Chaulin wanted to change that because he thought they needed more food. The Kinning's job was to make sure people got what they deserved.
