The Bomb That Killed Flight 434
Many of the passengers were Japanese citizens. The bomb had been planted about two hours earlier and when he used that Casio watch to set the timer, Rem's user had set it to go off four hours from the time he started the timer. At 1143 a.m. about an hour and a half from Tokyo the bomb exploded while flight 434 was at cruising altitude on autopilot at 33,000 feet above the Japanese island of Minabe Daito.
