The American Middle Class: A Diverse Population
The American middle class is 100 million adults, and we often talk about those folks as a kind of amorphous mass that all share these common traits. It's an incredibly diverse population; it's black and white and Latino. It's older. It's younger. It's Republican. And increasingly independent. We are trying very hard to make sure that we hear from all the different factions within that middle class. Our colleague Claire also spoke to him.
