I think it could promote more cooperation instead of everyone sitting on their own coming up with almost exactly the same library and so I think would be good for the ecosystem to focus on standards. Following a dry standard is boring, maybe if you're kind of eager to do something it's much more fun to just start out and do something in your own. In the end we code mainly for others so for the good of this for theGood of the whole software industry it should not mix learning with engineering interesting things like that.
