The Importance of Data Structure in a Production Environment

In a production environment, once the database is there, it's very hard to change it. I could see a company building their application driven by how data base looks and not change it for years. And people do build their applications that way, though. Whether or not they should, right? That's where Alan's point is. But yeah, I'm actually looking forward to diving into Nigel Poulson's "The pragmatic programmer" this month.
