We were born in need of him. No one just gets a relationship with god based on being alive. All of us are creations of god, but we're not children of god. To come int o relationship with god, you have to be reborn. And that doesn't mean go in to your mam's womb again. That means believe that he died on the cross for your sins and got up from the grave.
