Grover Cleveland's Presidency
Grover Cleveland is the first Democrat to be elected president in 1884 since James Buchanan in 1856. He subsequently loses re-election in 1888 while winning the popular vote. But he just loses the electoral college and then makes a comeback that he's known for in 1892, which gets you to the second non-consecutive term.
