The Anti-State Tradition
The idea of the territorial monopolist doesn't really seem to have been uniformly embraced. It's not perfectly capturing what we're talking about here, but it's much closer than a kind of Hobbesian monopolist. So you're describing something you turn radical consociationalism and I have to be fair to you. Chapter three is really describing this and what it looks like. But maybe this helps us come up with a more charitable interpretation for why there isn't more of an anti state tradition.
