This week we are going to be talking about julius caesar. Caesar was an outstanding general, writer, statesman, orator and lawgiver. He founded the roman empire over two thousand years ago; dozens of empires have sought to legitimize their rule by claiming to be his heirs. ben wilson: I think if you ask me who has the best claim to having actually taken over the world, the answer would have to be either caesar, jesus or mohammed.
