The Importance of Confidence in Success
I love when he comes to Sherman, because I think in many ways, he's sort of the antithesis of say like a Napoleon. And so one of my favorite biographies is B. H. LeDellhart's biography of Sherman. To someone like Sherman, his success in life was a sort of a source of constant surprise. He did this despite everyone's expectations and I find that so much more impressive than say a General McClellan who was probably in practice one of our worst generals.
