Over 650,000 was really my net losses. My gambling led me not only to be homeless, but also bankrupt. There was a time just before I was made bankrupt, I tried to take my own life because I just couldn't find a way of stopping. And I started borrowing money, coercing friends to lend me money for food and petrol and started taking out payday loans. The only money I owed was my mortgage and my car at the time was leased. So, when I couldn't buy another property, I did reach out, went to a local GA. Gumbel is anonymous, isn't it? Sorry. But I was in denial. It was very difficult.
