The World's First Text Message

The world's first text message was sent in morse code. The exchange rate between the dollar and the pound was agreed on August 18th, 1866. You could send promises but you couldn't send cash back at that time. But within a fortnight of that first message, two parties who trusted each other were exchanging dollars for pounds. And em why, to this day, the pound dollar is called redge - it goes back to that very moment.
