Mike Perlmutter: The other thing that I really liked about this study is that they weren't using IV pumps for the initial bolus. And then if the transport time was going to be greater than 10 minutes, then they would start them off at 80 mics a minute. He says even if you do have an infusion pump, what do you think about giving the bolus right away? "I could see something very similar to this," he says. 'It needs to be in your guidelines before you decide to do it"
