The Loyalists of the Tokugaa Shoganate

The tokugaa shoganate, in this line of thinking, was legitimate because it eased the emperor's mind by managing the nation's affairs. The loyalists were particularly concerned with elevating the voice of toku gawa nariaki, a relative of the show gun and the damo of mito. Loyalism was primarily a philosophy of action, just the kind of thing to appeal to disaffected young people. Still, this action oriented politics had a hard time realizing itself in practice.
