Lacan - A Film Review
There's a good part without spoiling it. There's a good scene where she reports having hallucinations and the things she's having hallucinations on, she comes to discover like there's a word that is standing in for something else in her life. I thought that was the picture of the displacement in the symbolic and in the words not what they mean. It would be much more Freudian to be like okay what is this hallucination represent rather than oh it's actually just a word. Exactly. And I think that the whole part about the mother tongue is interesting as well.
