Introduction

This is a rerelease of an episode we released about two years ago. Our guest today is professor Philip Seagler whose book militant grace tackles foundational questions resulting from what he calls the apocalyptic turn in Christian theology. A Phil's book encompasses a dizzying array of Christian theologians from Luther and Calvin to Kierkegaard and Bart and Bonhoeffer And somehow he even manages to be conversant with biblical scholars like Ernst Kaselemon, J. Louis Martin and John Barclay and Beverly GaventtePhilip: I find it useful as a term to capture something which I'm sure theologically we could find other words for.
