The Origins of Tombs in the Second Temple of the Apostles
The tomb of David which is mentioned in Acts 2 29 I think it's Peter speaking there and he says that we know you know basically that where the tomb of David is that's alluding to this cult of venerating saints. In second temple Judaism venerating understood broadly here and they have the grave sites. Even in the war of the Jews he mentions tombs of fine marble and exquisite workmanship alleged to belong to Abraham and his kin so in honor of the saints they built these great tombs.
