The Importance of Multilingualism
There are so many people that tell families that they should not use their home language practices with their child and in the US in favor of English or majoritized language. Globally, kids are learning multiple languages all the time and doing just fine. There's no evidence that one is going to inhibit the other. So it's really important to continue to encourage monolingualism if your child is diagnosed with a language delay or disability.
