The Evolution of Co Operation

There is a book called the evolution of co operation, and it is written by my dissertation adviser bob axlerod. He looks and sounds like david sedaris, but he's so smart. It is a book based on a computer simulations he did in the 19 eighties that basically tried to answer this question: why would humans ever co operate? And in particular, when would they ever do it without an authority telling them to do so?
