Howard Beale: A TV Preacher
Howard Beale is a kind of supreme ego test, you know, he doesn't destroy himself. He talks about offering himself continuously and he has these kind of weird, they'll go off on his prophetic rant and then he'll have kind of a mock heart attack and fall on the floor. And that's interesting because like we've been saying, Howard Beale is not really a TV preacher, he's kind of an anti preacher, right? Because he's eventually preaching behind this giant stained glass window image,. which is enigmatic of a TV church.
