Is There a Reversal of Causal Direction in the Carbohydrod Insulum Model?
The carbohydrate insulan model in its most comprehensive formulation is really just a version of the energy balance model. The glycemic load of the diet, presumably being sensed by the brain, maybe even having some rewarding properties, somehow influences energy intake. And so on this consumption of a high glacimic lod meal, you get this increase in insolent secretion, suppression of glucagon. This state basically promotes the uptake of glucose into cells stimulates lypogenesis. Once all nutrients have been absorbed, we start to see that levels of glucos ind a blood stream seem to go from that high level that they are in the early post parandial state to a much lower level in the late post
