The Importance of Property
We will become aggressive in seeking to protect what we have decided is my property. It's not because I want the utility value of that thing necessarily. It's partly because it's an attack on me. And so again, in this world of exchange and in a world in which the supply of goods becomes restricted, so the notion of property and person become identified. The moment you do that, then you immediately think of that right as something that needs to be protected,. Which calls for a governor of some sort who will enforce that right.
