Mirror Image T7 RNA Polymerase
In order to replicate L DNA, mirror image DNA, you need a mirror image protein. And in order to transcribe mirror image RNA, you needs a mirror image RNA polymerase. In this paper, what they've done is to create a mirror Image T7 RNA polymerase that they show can transcribe mirrorimage DNA into mirror image RNA. That's just insane. So the real challenge, if anybody, I guess, you know, they're pretty invested in this, my guess is they'll go for it eventually.
