This is a small CubeSat that was sent to towards the moon back December with several other vehicles because that's what we do now. The idea is that this is to look for water ice deposits, which is something that they're fairly sure exists on the moon specifically in craters. They're craters in like the polar regions that as far as we can tell have never seen sunlight since the dawn of time.
