If you're going to be moving, it's a great time to really go through all your stuff. Mariah and I have started to use this rule: Is there a space for it? You can do that as you're packing everything up but then when you get to the new place, it's like a second chance to go through these things again. It's true that this home may have once served you well - even last year. But at this point, it's no longer serving you. And if we cling to our dreams, they turn into nightmares. We call it the fear of missing out, but in reality its the joy of letting go.
The Minimalists talk about leaving a home that’s weighing you down and why no one can make you happy. Watch all 2 hours of episode 395 on The Minimalists Private Podcast.
