How Do You Write a Memoir?
I wanted to write an autobiographical novel because i wanted the stakes to be high enough to charge the imagination. I did not want to kind of remake or reproduce the people i know. And so in this sense, it was never going to be a memoir. In a way, every writer is building his own frankenstein's monster.
