Introduction

Allen Simmons and Renee Joyce are volunteers with the National Sariasis Foundation's one-to-one peer support program. Allen came to the MPF through another volunteer mentor, Matt Casalaga, who invited him to a team MPF walk. Renee is a second-year medical student who was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 10 with gut-tate and plaque psoriasis. At age 16, her psoriasis went from overwhelming to mild with the help of an amazing dermatologist which inspired her to pursue a career in medicine.
