Stoicism Is 90% Theory and 90% Practice
Scott commonly says that Stoicism is 10% theory and 90% practice. Do you generally agree with that claim? So are we talking about modern, so now we're talking about putting Stoicism into practice, or what do you have in mind when you said this 90% 10%? I suppose I have the modern Stoics in mind. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to put figures on it. I think they think both, both are important. Marcus Aridius was another interesting case of an ancient Stoic teacher who stressed importance of practice as well as theory. He wasn't a professional stoic, but he was deeply concerned with stoicism as a basic practice.
