How to Study the Bible

Don't get in the habit of simply going through the motions of reading God's Word and checking off boxes without prayer. Prayer before the word has a powerful effect on your time in the word. Know what you want to do and where you want to go before you jump in. Write down thoughts and observations as you read verse by verse. This is where reading and retaining the Bible comes in.
