The Role of Shareholders in Gun Violence
I think most people can agree that some sort of sensible regulation, legislation moving forward on these things would be more likely if we didn't make it such a political talking point. If you care about climate change, it's immoral to profit off of climate change by owning a share of ExxonMobil and the same goes for gun manufacturers. This is exactly how things are supposed to operate in the capitalist economy. The shareholder democracy that exists in the corporate form, one share, one vote, is actually really beautiful because it allows you to take these very values-driven decisions and then let the shareholders vote.
