Imam Malik of Allah

Ibn Abdullah-Battah Academy focuses on the legacy of Andalusian and Western North African scholarship, which I take to be referring to the Maliki tradition. Can you tell us a little bit about Imam Malik and who was he and what traits of his made him one of the most prominent scholars ever at Islamic tradition? We're speaking about a great Imam that inherits the Medina school. He's not a founder of the school. He didn't build a school. He Didn't create a school. This school is called the Medina school or the Hejazi school.
