The Incongruity Theory

Laughing at somebody is a superiority view that somehow I'm better than that person. We do laugh at people who are inferior to us, it may sound a bit sick but we do. There must be plenty of examples of things which are incongruous which are not funny at all. Aristotle even talked about this. He said there can't be real destruction involved in comedy.
