Is Mirroring the Video to the Back of the Phone Necessary?

You can get devices that will attach to your phone so you can see a little version of yourself and get yourself positioned. There's no good holding your phone out in front of you and then having your subject 10 feet away. The microphone on the iPhones is actually pretty good, but you do have to be in the right environment. Try and find an environment that isn't lag with lots of background noise and definitely don't be anywhere where there's any type of wind because it's not going to end well.
