The first woman to cross the Atlantic. My name will go tone in history for that. I didn't touch the controls. But maybe this will lead to better things for me. When we all got back, President Calvin Coolidge invited us to the White House. The flight over the Atlantic didn't get me any extra flying time, but it sure got me fame. And I had hoped fame would equal fortune. Well, that meant flying. George said the public attention wouldn't last unless we made it last. We had to strike while the iron was hot. So we got to working.
