The Relationship Between Temperature Equilibrium and the Physical Domain
Carnap acknowledges that its constructions don't preserve sense. If there's some sense associated with it, when you move from one level to another, that's lost. All it preserves is extension. And I wanted to give an example of what this means when you're going from onelevel to another and preserving extension. So let's say I happen to know that whenever Mark twitches his eyebrows, that means he's angry. The attitude you might take to those two statements might be different, even if one is true, whenever the other is also true.
