David Gergen: The Washington Post put out a story about Clarence Thomas' financial disclosures. He says it's very much the Avenatti gang rape story about Kavanaugh. There were actual real allegations here, but when you come with a clown show, you clown up the whole thing he says.Gergen: I just want to be clear, the not disclosing the sale of the property is real. But when you do unreal stories, it takes away from the credibility of the real stories.
