How Did This Seep Into the Software Industry?

A lot of it was due to business models. It's hard to do that if you charge people money up front, because you're not going to get the scale that you want early. If you're waiting to make money in five years, you can't. So obviously, this is a stupid basic economics one o one here, i'm just reciting. But so, so you need to pay the bills. And do that, you need to raise money to do that,. ecuse youre not raising money from your customers by selling a product. You have to get that money from somewhere.
